		<description><![CDATA[NEW-IG and N.ERGHY invite all parties interested in responding to the FCH JU Call for proposals 2012 to participate in the Public Information Session and Brokerage event 2012. The event will take place on 9th of February 2012 in the premises of the FCH JU Programme Office, avenue de la Toison d&#8217;Or 56-60, Brussels. The FCH JU will introduce the day in a Public Information Session on the 2012 Call for proposals (to be published mid-January). The session will cover the topics of this year’s call, processes, rules for submission of proposals as well as other useful information for participants. The day will then continue with a Brokerage event co-organised by the Industry Grouping (NEW-IG) and the Research Grouping (N.ERGHY) of the FCH Joint Undertaking. Sessions will be organised by application areas and topics in order to facilitate concrete discussions and targeted networking. Each specific topic of the Call for proposals 2012 will be discussed twice to allow participants to take part in all discussions of their interest. 		<description><![CDATA[Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE), was launched in 2003 by the European Commission, the programme is part of a broad push to create an energy-intelligent future for us all. It supports EU energy efficiency and renewable energy policies, with a view to reaching the EU 2020 targets (20% cut in greenhouse gas emissions, 20% improvement in energy efficiency and 20% of renewables in EU energy consumption). Intelligent Energy – Europe creates better conditions for a more sustainable energy future in areas as varied as renewable energy, energy-efficient buildings, industry, consumer products and transport. Running until 2013, the programme is open to all EU Member States, plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Croatia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. A budget of € 730 million is available to fund projects and put into place a range of European portals, facilities and initiatives. The new IEE call for project proposals is now open. In 2012, there will be € 67 million available for funding. The focus of the first congress that took place in 2010 was to develop a concrete action plan for making Flanders a low-carbon region. Since a number of hydrogen-related projects are already underway in the region, the upcoming congress will focus on implementation and evaluation of  these projects. 		<description><![CDATA[The Annual Meeting of the Hydrogen Network North Rhine Westfalia will take place December 7, 2011. Presentations will examine, the region of North Rhine-Westphalia activities in the expansion of renewable energies and the associated consequences for networks and how storage of energy increasingly plays a major role. The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Network NRW utilizes excessive wind energy to save in the form of hydrogen with the aim to Buffer the fluctuations in energy supply, the production, and consumption of electrical energy. The hydrogen can then be used as a clean fuel the transport sector.  Fuel cell buses within projects funded by NRW, are currently in progress and successfully running in Hurth. During the annual meeting participants will have the opportunity to test ride the hydrogen bus. During the meeting, presentations will also examine the NRW incentive programs for cogeneration, the basic features, and the current projects in the field of CHP, electricmobility, and energy storage using hydrogen and fuel cells.
