Job Title: Communications Manager Reference: HyER/HR/CM03/11 Organisation HyER, Hydrogen, fuel cells and Electromobility in European Regions (formerly, HyRaMP, the European Regions and Municipalities Partnership hydrogen and fuel cells) has been created in April 2008 by 22 European Regions (currently 32) with the support of the European Commission to promote the regional development and deployment of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies and, since last October, of electro-mobility. Hydrogen and electricity, as clean energy carriers for battery electric and fuel cell electric vehicles and fuel cells as highly efficient energy systems, are widely seen as important components of a new global energy and transport system that will substitute the current fossil fuel based infrastructures with a sustainable, secure and competitive alternative. In order to develop fact-based policy, the HyER regions are work together to collect data on current demonstration projects, to share experiences and to develop large scale deployment programs for vehicles and the necessary recharging and hydrogen refuelling infrastructure. Clear, transparent and regular communciations to key EU national and local decision makers as well as the general public is crucial.
