Regional strategies and activitiesThe Hydrogen Regions of Sweden has the objective to leverage the potential of hydrogen as an energy carrier in order to spur sustainable regional development and growth. This is done by: – increasing knowledge and awareness about the potential of hydrogen as an energy carrier among the regional actors. – Carrying out demonstrations and pre-studies for demonstration projects to gain practical experiences and visibility and to nurture the growing commercial demand. – Creating an arena for collaboration and stronger networks, involving more actors from industry, universities, local, regional and national government and NGO’s adding technical competence, political power, financial strength – Supporting efforts to improve institutional framework for hydrogen technologies in Sweden i.e. including hydrogen to a larger extent in political strategies and plans as well as in regulations and legal frame work. The practical work to carry out these activities is done by the the public-private partnership Hydrogen Sweden – a national not-for-profit organisation promoting hydrogen as an energy carrier in Sweden.
