Public consultation on the preparation of the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Technology Initiative under Horizon 2020 is now open

Published on: July 18, 2012

As the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP7) is drawing to an end, the Commission launched earlier this month a public consultation to collect the views of the public on the fuel cells and hydrogen sector and the possible continuation of the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU), under Horizon 2020, the new framework for Research and Development (2014-2020).

Citizens, organizations and public authorities can submit their opinions on the JTI’s performance and achievements through the online questionnaire until 4 October 2012.

The objective of the JTI is to accelerate the market introduction of these technologies to achieve a low carbon energy system.

As HyER is participating in a number of pilot projects on hydrogen fuel cell in public transport which are co-financed by the FCH JU and the European Regions, is following closely this consultation and the developments in the technology sector.
