New approaches towards sustainable energies in Europe

In the framework of the PITER project, Rhône-Alpes will organise an International seminar about “New approaches towards sustainable energies in Europe” on December 2.

PITER is a Franco-Italian cooperative project of the FP7 “Regions of knowledge” programme, implemented by 5 partners: 2 regional authorities (Rhône-Alpes and Piedmont), 2 clusters (TENERRDIS and Environment Park) and one project management consultancy (Alma Consulting Group). Launched on January 2009, the project will last for 2 years (January 2009 to December 2010), with a total budget of 665 717€ of which 569 993€ of European funding.

The objective of the project is to promote renewable energies through joint actions in research and technological development and common political and economical strategies.

 The seminar will be held at the head office of Rhône-Alpes and Piedmont Regions in Brussels to raise international visibility of the project, to disseminate the actions in progress and inform about new initiatives.

 The public targeted for this event is:
- Industrial, research and institutional regional actors
- European authorities and associations
- European cluster representatives
